I partnered with Sender One Climbing Gym and Sanuk Footwear to put produce, direct, shoot, and edit two promotional videos. Over the course of 4 months in early 2013 I documented the construction of the massive 25,000 sq/ft climbing facility.

Sender One is the first indoor rock climbing facility owned and designed by the world’s most iconic rock climber, Chris Sharma. With over 25,000 square feet of climbing surface and walls up to 50 feet high, Sender One is every climber’s paradise no matter the skill level or experience.

Teaming up with iconic photojournalist, Steve Sherman, The Space 2 Play franchise provides a candid look into the life and times of the brand’s athletes. I created (directed/shot/edited) this 10-part ambassador series for Sanuk Footwear’s Spring 2014 marketing campaign. To date, the series has 188,000+ views, 400+ likes, 23 dislikes, and 43 comments making it the most successful and engaging video series Sanuk has had to date.

One of three companies to compete in Transworld Surf’s 2012 Imaginarium. A competition to push the boundaries of surf photography and cinematography.
Client: Sanük Footwear

Sanuk’s crew of delinquent desk jockeys set out to pay tribute to all the nine-to-fivers out there just working for the man and wishing for the weekend. This Imaginarium submission is dedicated to all the working-class rippers locked away each day in the three-walled prison cells we call cubicles.

Let’s chalk one up for the regulars, the early birds, the deadbeat janitors, the number crunchers, the copy-machine cowboys, and even the taco-truck lady who rolls in every day at exactly 11:35 a.m. Let’s chalk one up for every person out there with unfulfilled dreams of a better life. Let’s chalk one up for a vacation from normality. Let’s chalk one up for happiness.

If all you’re getting barreled in is a sea of paperwork, then it’s a time to make work your beach. After all, even the worst day in the water is better than the best day at the office.

A Different Reason to Smile is an original short documentary I co-directed, shot, and edited on a trip to Peru in 2012. This film was in coalition with Operation Smile and Transworld Surf’s October 2012 issue. The article, appropriately titled “SMILE” garnered the most public response of any, in the 14 year history of the magazine.

In an effort to join in on the political conversation during the 2014 mid-term elections, I co-created a faux-political marketing campaign entitled, Campaign for Comfort.

Centered around Sanuk’s current umbrella slogan, “Never Uncomfortable”, we leveraged one of Sanuk’s most unique and popular athletes, professional wakeboarder and tv personality, Bob Soven, to lead the charge of spreading comfort to the masses. Why? Because a more comfortable you, is a more comfortable America and that is comfort you can believe in!

The polls have closed and the results are in. Bob Soven is the nation’s official (kinda) Ambassador of Comfort! Bob Soven asks, are you more comfortable today than you were 4 years ago?

In the WAKE of COMFORT, Bob Soven leads the nation into a new era of comfortability as his recent Campaign for Comfort proved to be a great success. From Florida’s coast to the beaches of sunny California, Bob Soven is here to represent the nation and WILL restore comfort back to this great nation.
